These four walls will be an extension of our ethos behind Weltons Fine Foods- with the use of domestic flour, heirloom grains, and the loveliest of Lowcountry produce, dairy, and proteins.

A place where you can snag a piece of honey pie, kougin amman, and tiny sourdough loaf to take home. A place where you can get naturally leavened focaccia by the slice made with Anson Mills whole grain flour or a canele de bordeaux. A place for us to call home to throw our own wood fired pizza parties on the back patio and down the alley way.

Y’all, we cant wait for you to indulge with us.

Our Tiny Bakeshop is located at 682 King Street with the vision of supplying naturally leavened, seasonally inspired, and European influenced sweet treats to our community here in Charleston.

Weltons Tiny Bakeshop is a tiny space doing big things! Incorporating seasonality with thoughtful sourcing to create one of a kind naturally leavened European influenced Lowcountry pastries and breads.

The Weltons

Zachary from Upstate New York and Hannah from Houston Texas, they both share an infinite love for farmers markets, fine dining, camping, picnics and cross country road trips. Their adventure started while working together in the kitchen at Husk Charleston and they haven’t stopped grooving since. From the South Carolina coast to the waters of the Caribbean— Hannah and Zachary spent a year and half living and working in the Yucatán.

Their time spent working at Hartwood, a restaurant located in the jungle of Tulum, is completely dependent on wood fired cooking. It is where Hannah created the beloved Salted Honey Pie and where Zachary mastered the wood fired grill and oven. Their time spent living in southern Mexico solidified their love for wood burning ovens, bright & bold flavors, fresh produce and simplicity. From the Caribbean to the Lowcountry and everywhere in between, they cannot wait to cook for you.
